I suppose this sounds like a weirdo fan thing to do, but I named my first son after him and he very graciously autographed a copy of the book to my Tobias (that was 10 years ago!). No Catwoman, no Penguin, no Riddler, blah. The arc has been creating the Batman (BB) to living with/planning to stop being the Batman (TDK) to...<BR/><BR/>The realization that there's no turning back. Who's the villain for that? Man-Bat. A villain who literally transforms, who desperately doesn't want to. That puts both men at opposite ends of the transformation meme. Man-Bat is farther along and knows that he's fairly well screwed. <BR/><BR/>There's always room for showing a few classic other Bat-villains as b-teamers (tangling with some difficulty with the Bat vigilantes, even). <BR/><BR/>Catwoman's been ret-conned into the Great Whatever at this point, in movies and comics. We've gotten the Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman; we've gotten the Julie Newmar Catwoman. I dunno if there's much of a need for another rodeo there. The Nolans will move on whatever they chose because they have a very novel-like sensibility about these things. I don't think that if they do choose to have Catwoman that they'll do it like Venom in Spider-Man 3 where they basically put Sandman on a raft with noplace to go just to have VENOM in there.<BR/><BR/>Ok, I opinionated all over the place.
